As of<br>March 2021, a total of $189.5 billion has been approved for state educational agencies under ESSER in three stages: ESSER I ($13.1 billion), ESSER II ($54.3 billion) and ESSER III ($122 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.americhem.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/cloroxn-esser-1024x368.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-369360\" width=\"823\" height=\"295\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\">How can ESSER funds be used?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The usage of ESSER funds is very broad in order to make sure school districts have the flexibility to make choices that best serve their communities. This includes things like addressing learning loss and making upgrades to<br>facilities but also ensuring you have what you need to keep your facility clean and healthy\u2026now and throughout the school year.<br>This could include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Training staff on sanitation and how to minimize the spread of infectious diseases<\/li><li>Purchasing equipment and supplies to sanitize and clean facilities, classrooms and offices<\/li><li>Hiring additional janitorial staff if needed<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\">How can I access ESSER funds?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>DON\u2019T WAIT\u2014funds are in the process of being dispersed to states and districts now<\/li><li>TALK to key decision makers in your school about specific needs for your cleaning and sanitation program<\/li><li>WRITE up a proposal outlining your needs with justification to support your request<\/li><li>ASK your Distributor or Clorox sales rep for help<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\">When must ESSER funds be spent?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>ESSER I<\/strong> Available for obligation through September 2022 (mostly liquidated)<\/li><li><strong>ESSER II<\/strong> Available for obligation through September 2023 (currently being appropriated)<\/li><li><strong>ESSER III<\/strong> Available for obligation through September 2024 (currently being appropriated)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>\u201cWe were able to purchase enough Clorox\u00ae Total 360\u00ae Electrostatic Devices for each school in Flagler County, thanks to federal funding received in response to the pandemic. These products help to keep our schools clean, which in turn, helps us to keep students and staff healthy and safe.
