Laundry Washing Procedures
Pre-Treat

Machine Wash Cycle
For an effective and efficient washing cycle, begin by confirming that the correct washing and dispensing system settings have been selected based on your team’s established procedures.

When handling unfamiliar garments, always check the care labels before washing to avoid damage. Once all settings are verified, you’re ready to start the machine.
Drying Procedures
After the wash cycle is complete, select the appropriate drying time and temperature based on the type of fabric being laundered. Over-drying can lead to shrinkage, fading, or weakened fibers, especially in delicate materials.
To protect garment quality and extend your textiles’ lifespan, follow the care label recommendations and avoid using excessively high heat. When in doubt, opt for lower temperatures or air-dry settings for sensitive items.
Proper drying not only preserves fabric integrity but also reduces energy consumption, helping your facility operate more efficiently.
Fold
Once the drying cycle is complete, promptly fold linens and garments to prevent wrinkles and maintain a neat appearance. Folding items right away also helps preserve fabric shape and reduces the need for additional pressing or steaming.
