What do I do with my empty totes?
Lucky for you, Americhem has a free program for this! Simply hold on to your empty totes, and our team will pick them up for you. Contact our team to learn more about this process.
Where can I buy replacement parts if I need them?
As an authorized distributor of Spartan chemical products, we can source any parts you need after purchase. Contact your sales team member or fill out the Parts Request form.
What is the difference between IBCs and totes?
IBCs, or Intermediate Bulk Containers, are, in all intents and purposes, the same as chemical tote containers. IBCs have become the industry standard name for these containers, whereas “totes” are a specialty name for totes specifically built for easy transportation and general handling.
How long do chemical totes last?
This depends on each business. The tote will last as long as you use the product, which varies per industry.
For the actual chemicals, some do have an expiration date, which can be found on the front label of the tote.
What is the difference between a 330 and 275 chemical tote?
The standard capacity for chemical dispensing containers is 275 gallons and 330 gallons. Americhem currently offers 275 gallon chemical containers for a variety of Spartan chemical products. Contact our team to learn more about your options.
How do you clean used totes that had chemicals in them?
Please refer to your distributor for more information on how to clean out a tote with your purchased chemical. It is important to follow specific instructions so you do not accidentally wash your chemicals into your local water source. Your distributor will also be able to find out what cleaning agent you need based on what your tote previously held.
Can you double stack chemical totes?
Yes! The tote system can be stacked with the empty water tote on top of the chemical tote for optimal storage.
How do you open a chemical tote?
When you order a chemical tote from Americhem, the material safety data sheets, individual product brochures, technical bulletins, and application tools will all become available to you.
